Lessons and Obsessions [NC-17]
11th-Mar-2010 09:02 am
Title: Lessons and Obsessions (at AdultFanfiction.net)
Author: Lenna Nightrunner (lennanightrun )
Word Count: ~100,000
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Explicit sexual content, profanity
Summary: After Narcissa Malfoy makes a deal with the Order of the Phoenix for protection and for a probational dismissal of charges regarding her son's role in the death of Albus Dumbledore, Draco Malfoy returns to Hogwarts for a seventh year. Reckless and resentful, Draco decides to pursue a long-time desire for Hermione Granger. With Harry off searching for the Horcruxes and Ron still lacking the courage to pursue her, Hermione finds herself tempted by Draco's advances.

Notes: This fic takes place in an alternate seventh year, but borrows content from Deathly Hallows. It's technically completely compatible through the end of HPB, then sort of AU, but sort of not XD

Thanks for posting here! We love it when people come out of the woodwork and aren't shy about putting up their own work. ;)

Just a couple things. Would you mind taking down the banner? We're still working on tweaking the rules before we go fully public and one we just added was "no graphics." It's a beautiful banner but we're going to try for consistency in all posts to make it easier for readers to find what they're looking for. I noticed that your post was f-locked. Another rule we added was that out of courtesy for our watchers-only, we won't be f-locking any posts.

I've tagged your post with HBP canon compliancy. Thank you for sharing your story with us and welcome to the comm! :)

Woops! Sorry, those two are habitual. Fixing now!

Not a problem. Thank you, dear! :)

Rrr, just commented in the wrong place here instead of replying. Please see below for another question. Clearly I need to catch up on some sleep!

P.S. I've noticed that most people have a link in the title of their fic. Is that decided arbitrarily? I have all of the places I've archived in the bottom section. Is that good enough, or should I pick a place like AFF.net to link the title to?

The link in their title is usually the place they favour most :D. If you'd rather people read it on AFF.net, then linking it would be a good idea -- but the choice is all up to you!

Okay, I think I'm finally done tweaking and have gotten it to fit all of the guidelines, but please let me know if anything else needs to be changed. Phew! I'm really excited to be part of this community.

I think the most important thing is to remember to have all the essentials, WHIS IS WORKING FOR YOU HERE :D. Everything so far is awesome now!

There's no need to specify where the link goes to (but that's totally up to you to keep) and you can also link your author name to any archive and to your profile (if you want mass coverage). If you aren't linking your name, I think it's only necessary to put your LJ username, but again, it's up to you to keep any and all of it. Just as long as you got the essentials, which you have.

AND LOL. I'm glad you took my hint!! Go ahead and rec things, too, if you're in love with any complete stories. We recommend posting your own before posting others, so yeahh. :D :D

I like specifying which archive if that's all right, because I'd like to know where I was being directed to if I were about to click on a fic link.

I like having my full name there rather than just my LJ name because on the archives it has my full name. But I haven't linked my name because on any given archive, a link to the story will make it easy to find my author profile. Is that okay?

I'll definitely rec if I find some good complete fics.

Of course it's alright *g*. Whole point of saying it to you was to make sure you knew you didn't have to.

AND YESSS, that would make my life if you did.

But I'm a Hermione! I want to make sure I'm following the rules! ;)
